Nairobi June 28 2017… Equitel users can now buy airtime and data bundles with the introduction of a new 412222 Paybill number on Safaricom’s M-Pesa mobile money transfer service.
The new Paybill number adds to the existing top up/ buying of airtime directly from a customer’s account, or from an Equity agent countrywide, further enhancing convenience to subscribers who stood at 1.4 million according to the latest quarterly report from the Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK).

To buy airtime using Mpesa, users should follow the steps below:
Go to M-Pesa
Select Lipa na M-Pesa
Select Pay Bill
Select Enter Business Number- type 412222
Enter Account Number- type your Equitel mobile number
Enter Amount
Enter MPESA PIN
Confirm details and send.
